Rachel Voss

Rachel Voss is a Registered Yoga Teacher from Englewood, New Jersey, who now shares her love of yoga throughout the DC Metro. She began teaching in 2013 after completing her 200 and 300-hour yoga teacher training with Spiritual Essence Yoga. Rachel is also a certified Thai Yoga Massage practitioner. In February 2015, Rachel left her corporate career in housing finance to teach yoga full-time.

Rachel teaches small group, private and corporate sessions at Optimal Oasis. Her clients include the NFL Players Association and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. She also volunteers at Patuxent Correctional Institution, teaching yoga to incarcerated women. In every yoga session, Rachel shares the message of self-care, self-love and finding freedom on (and off) the yoga mat.

Sharon Morris-Smith

Sharon Morris is the Founder and Owner of Assuage (uh-SWEIJ) Yoga. Sharon’s yoga journey began more than 15 years ago, and she has experienced its healing power firsthand. She credits her yoga and meditation practice with helping her through many difficult parts of her life, and inspiring her to become a certified yoga teacher. 

Ever since, she has shared her knowledge of the wonderful benefits of yoga and meditation with others. She deepened her expertise by acquiring her 500-hour certification through ASFA, and studying and practicing yoga in India. Sharon’s philosophy is that yoga is not just about poses (asanas), but also about healing and restoring the body and mind. She believes yoga is a way of life and teaches mindfulness, awareness and how to live in the present moment. 

Sharon has taught yoga and meditation domestically and internationally to private and corporate clients, including professional athletes. She is now offering both small group and private yoga instruction at Optimal Oasis. She is well-versed in many genres of yoga including Restorative, Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Meditation and a host of specialty classes. Contact her here to register for classes.
